Alzheimer’s Care

At Stony Brook, we’re experts in high-quality Alzheimer’s care. Within the secure, homelike environment of our Taylor Commons neighborhood, you can trust our specially designed “Connections” program to help your loved one get the most out of every day. “Connections” is specially designed to help residents gain a sense of success and accomplishment while encouraging them to maintain their skills and abilities. Each member of our Alzheimer’s care staff has completed comprehensive dementia care training in addition to attending ongoing training sessions.

Wellness Center

For routine medical care, our state-of-the-art Wellness Center delivers the highest quality care and attention, with medical staff available to residents 24 hours a day. Among other services, the Wellness Center can help to coordinate blood tests as well as physical, speech and occupational therapies. Here’s more:

  • Monthly wellness checks

Emergency Care

In case of an emergency situation or when more extensive, hospital-based care is needed, Stony Brook is just minutes from four major hospitals. And even more immediately, all Stony Brook medical personnel are fully trained to provide care until medical transport arrives.

At Stony Brook, we’re always looking for ways to improve the services we offer. Therefore, we regularly reach out to leading medical experts from the region and invite them to come to provide seminars and training for our staff.
